System Goals/Comments: | Looking for decent computer sound for occasional music, Youtube video, and streaming video |
System Strengths: | Amazing bass for small woofers; this may be due to the 24" listening distance. Imaging characteristic is a lot like you get with headphones because the speakers are positioned directly to my left and right. |
System Weaknesses: | Good imaging requires exact centering of my head between the speakers. Getting a bit of hum from the VM 1448. It's only audible because of the very short listening distance. Computer fan noise tends to dominate. |
Video/HT System: None | |
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: | Deer and hog hunting; benchrest shooting ( this explains why the Stereophile CD 2 indicates I have little hearing above 16 kHz, I'm fine up to 10 kHz, though) |
