Amplifier: Two Marantz 500s one on each channel. Not using, Khrone Hite UF 101A(R) 50 watt tube amps of which I have three. They are massive mono blocks. Receivers: Marantz 18, Marantz 2220B, and a Heath Kit AR 1500A. Also, Accuphase P300, C200, T100 with cherry cabinets for basement system.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Audio Research sp6B for phono into an Audio Research ls2 via tape out jacks, Levinson JC2 and ML1 and a pair of Marantz model 1. Also, just aquired Marantz 7t.
Speakers: TDL Reference Standards bi-amped. Basement system: IMF professional monitor MK IV and Bose 901.
CD Player/DAC: VanAlstein cd with out board tube power supply. Magnavox 424 cd for basement.
Turntable/Phono Stage: Lynn: lingo-cirrcus-trampoline-ittok, Sony TTS 3000a with Audio Craft ac300, Panasonic sp10 with Luster GST 801 "Magnetic Drive" arm. Cartridges: Benz Mo9, Monster 1000, AT OC9, and a VanAlstine Grado longhorn (the best $100 I ever spent).
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: The original expensive spkr wire: 9 foot pair of two guage Fulton GOLD, Straight Wire, and various home made cables.
Tweaks: Racket balls replaced the springs in the Sony TTS 3000 plinth for a huge improvement
Room Size (LxWxH): 21 x 16 x 8
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): jazz, rock, gospel and classical.
System Goals/Comments: Need a new phono cartridge. Considering Benz and Lyra and maybe a rim drive TT to play with
System Strengths: With the TDL spkrs, image goes from my front lawn on the left to other side of the wall on the right side. Great definition, transparency, and power. Stunning punch as well as bass due to the transmission-line spkr enclosures.
System Weaknesses: Almost electostatic clairity but not quite as much 3d depth as my old Quads. But still very, very good for a box speaker.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: 65 inch Mitsubishi DLT.
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Onkyo 609, Denon AVR-882, and Marantz 18.
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Definitive Technology BP 20 front and Polk surrounds/sub
Sources (DVD/VCR): Panasonic blue ray and Panasonic VHS/CD recorder
Other HT Gear: none
Comments on HT System: none
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: guitars, watches, cars and the BIBLE
