Room Size (LxWxH): 25 ft x 9' - 16' x 7.5'
Room Comments/Treatments: Euphemistically referred to in NYC realty circles as an "English basement"; a finished basement, with a low ceiling and lainated floor over concrete. The usual furnishings and rugs. The only treatment that would help this room is 3' of additional height and about 10 feet of extra width...
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Jazz, Classic Rock
System Goals/Comments: Just trying to find the best sound I can, and finally buy the stereo system I couldn't afford when I was in high school (or college, or in my 20's or 30's, for that matter!)
System Strengths: Turntable and amp are very satisfying. The Fisher pre is a sleeper, and surprisingly decent. The speakers are my favorite part of this system. I'd been through a ton of vintage speakers before I found the University Dual Classic 12's, and they keep putting a smile on my face. Sound is warm yet revealing, with smooth but extended highs and tight bass.
System Weaknesses: Speaker cables. TIme to put some energy into cables and interconnects.

Also, my living room is a lousy space to put a stereo in. For the time being, looks like I'm stuck here!
Video/HT System: None
TV/Projector: Samsung 40" LED
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: n/a
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): n/a
Sources (DVD/VCR): Sony PS3, digital cable

Comments on HT System: Works great for what it is. I don't have the space or the interest to pursue a big HT rig at the moment.
