Amplifier: | Audio-GD Master 11 Balanced DAC/Headphone Amp |
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): | N/A |
Speakers: | Headphones: Senn. HD-600, still great and very comfortable. Kennerton Vali, a step up from the HD-600 while retaining many of the sound characteristics that make the HD-600 a timeless piece of history. Heavy and can be uncomfortable in long stretches. Abyss Diana V2, everything they say about Abyss cans is true, both good and bad but... Got the V2 version on close-out at half price and they are great. |

CD Player/DAC: | Raspberry Pi4b/Pi2 Design PI2AES 2.0 'hat'/Chi-Fi Linear Power Supply |

Music Preferences and Comments: | |
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Most everything, system used mostly for streaming QOBUZ and TIDAL from Audirvana plus music stored on the HD of the Mac Mini in the 'casita' all controlled by an iPhone |
System Goals/Comments: | Current goal is to end my dependence on a laptop computer for streaming music to my DAC/Headphone system in a comfortable chair in the 'study'. The Raspberry Pi accomplishes this as it acts as a DLNA end point for Audirvana running on a Mac Mini in another part of the house controlled by an iPhone. |
System Strengths: | Audio-GD Master 11 is by far the best sounding DAC/Headphone Amp combo I have ever plugged into. And the 'can' I got are pretty good. |
System Weaknesses: | Master 11 is HUGE and weighs 25 lbs and is my favorite all time DAC but now it's only usable in the 'study' as a DAC/Headphone Amp and with cans. |
Video/HT System: None |
