System Goals/Comments: | Natural presentation of the recorded event. The challenge here is the room; horrible acoustics and dimensions. Unfortunately this is the reality for many audiophiles including quite a few of my customers. The goal here was to shoe horn large speakers, horns in this case, into a small room and make ti work properly and with little compromise. The equipment was the easy part, the final result was predicated on precise placement of the speakers and the listener. |
System Strengths: | Extremely natural and musical near field setup. With correct speaker placement and positioning of the listener the room has almost completely disappeared from the equation. |
System Weaknesses: | Room! Deep bass is still an issue in small rooms. Near field setup involves a very specific listening position, limiting it to one. |
