Other Source(s): Naim CD5
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Soundstrings speaker cables

Shindo ICs 1.5m; Harmonic Tech Silway II ICs 1m; Soundstrings ICs 1m
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): WPA era Taos style pine table for a rack
Tweaks: Agnostic on most tweaks except for vibration isolation. Symposium isolation base and spikes under turntable - generous gift of another local Shindo San.
Room Size (LxWxH): 20 x 18 x 12
Room Comments/Treatments: Adobe (mud) walls with cement floors and large pine vigas (beams) and pine plank ceiling. The room has a vibrant sound, but the wood ceiling, rug, and sofa dial down the high frequencies to a nice level. Solid adobe walls and cement floors can create base nodes depending on speaker placement, but have wonderful reinforcement properties too.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Very eclectic tastes including rock, electronic, blues, folk, bluegrass, jazz, music from all modern eras, and some classical.
System Goals/Comments: To assemble a system that moves me emotionally. Fidelity to a performance or to how the engineer wanted it to sound is secondary to how it makes me feel. If the system adds to that enjoyment by adding its own character, then that is fine with me.
System Strengths: Detail, verve, impact, believability, groove, fluidity, emotional connection to music.
System Weaknesses: Expense.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Samsung HU9000 65"
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: McCormack MAP1 and HT3
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Manaplaner CC2 and MC1's, REL
Sources (DVD/VCR): Comcast box; Sony DVD, Sonos with DacMagic
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Skiing, Art (viewing and making), running, reading, film, good food, plenty of time with family and friends.
