Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): NAD S100
Speakers: Magnepan 1.6 QR
CD Player/DAC: Adcom GCD-600 with Theta DS Pro Basic II DAC
Other Source(s): Portable AWAI minidisc, for portable tunes

Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Speaker cables are Tara Labs Prism Biwire,but not biwired. I/C's are Tara Labs Prism 55i, Tara Labs Prism Video i for CD to DAC, and various homemade experiments.
Tweaks: Amp has bypassed power supply caps. Speaker wires are soldered directly to speaker crossovers. All rca jacks(female) in use are replaced with Cardas silver rhodium. Home made I/C's (still experimental). Weighted stands for speakers.

Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Rock/blues/electronica/ anything that gets my attention. Looking into classical.
System Goals/Comments: Goal: something to tide me over between live music events.
System Strengths: Lots of detail. Strong presence through entire freq range except the very bottom. Outstanding ability to "disapear" into a soundstage, though this is very recording dependant.
System Weaknesses: Bright top end. Imaging could be better/more precise.
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Rock climbing, both traditional and sport. Mountain biking. Occupation U.S. Navy Search and Rescue Swimmer, currently Instructor in the same.
