|System Goals/Comments:||I finally crossed the threshold of giddiness! I had to update all of my cabling to more recent designs to get there.|
|System Strengths:||w/Active Preamp: Nicely layered soundstage, good microdynamics with articulate and consistent bass. Drive!|
w/Passive Preamp: Vocals and bass are full and thick. Solid and realistic center image.
|System Weaknesses:||Deep gut-moving bass is missing|
w/Active Preamp: Perhaps slightly lean with less solid center image
w/Passive Preamp: Lack of soundstage depth and bass speed.
|Video/HT System: Separate|
|Comments on HT System:||Connected to the audio system only through an optical interconnect (Lifatec Silflex glass)|
