Amplifier:	Alan Eaton 45 SET amp. 2wpc. Uses two 45 tubes; two 6SN7 tubes; and one 80 tube for rectification. I am using RCA - 45's and Electro-Harmonix - 6SN7's.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated):	RME ADI-2 FS DAC/preamp
Speakers:	Klipsch Heresy IV

CD Player/DAC:	2001 (Yr) Audio Note CDT player/transport. Missing remote. No remote is serious handicap. This model has 95% of functioning on remote. Without remote, it has on/off, play/stop.

Room Comments/Treatments:	House/room is from 1850. Walls are plaster on brick. Four windows. The environment is hard and very reflective. I have carpet covering 80% of the hardwood floors. Experimenting with sound panels now.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections):	Acoustic. Instrumental: Piano, Guitar, Cello, Violin, Horns, etc. There is a lot of music that does not sound good on the Klipsch. I love solo vocals, if they are recorded well.
System Goals/Comments:	Acquire the other components to round out the system. CD player with remote. Turntable. Stand alone preamp, alternate solid state amp. Trade up amplifier. Possible trade-up speakers I am open to most every option. Looking for tips to improve sound quality.
System Strengths:	Horn technology has outstanding clarity and detail. It is a sound that can be ethereal. However, it MUST have sources that are very high quality recordings. Especially when using a SET type amp.
System Weaknesses:	Heresy IV are very bright and forward. Experimenting with making driver filters. Also investigating L-pads, attenuators, autoformers. I have only been an audiophile less than one year. I have a lot to learn. That is the main reason I am here.
