Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Indie rock, Blues, and Jazz. Learning to really appreciate Bluegrass, and just about anything except country.....
System Goals/Comments: | I am striving for a musical system with a deep and wide soundstage without sacrificing clarity and detail...
System Strengths: | MGD 5's sound MUCH bigger than they are, and put my former Dunlavy SM-1's to shame for sheer musicality. They create a very convincing soundstage with excellent detail. They create a VERY enjoyable musical experience for me, and that's all I can ask. The Arcam CD-72 is an excellent value in a "Budget" cd player, and when coupled with the Silver Lace IC's it delivers all the toe-tapping goodness I desire from my favorite cd's. The Mapleshade cables are the best I have tried, and they synergize extremely well with the Studi 5's.
System Weaknesses: | I really need to treat my room in order to get the most out of my system.
