Amplifier: Classe' CAV500 (500W X 5 channels at 4 ohms).
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Parasound Halo P7
Speakers: Magnepan 3.7R (fronts) and 1.6QR (rears) and Magnepan CC3 (center)with one REL Strata III sub-bass system.
CD Player/DAC: Classe' CDP-10 for CDs; Oppo BDP103 for SACD, and DVD-A
Turntable/Phono Stage: Thorens TD125 with SME arm and Ortofon M15E cartridge
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: 10ga copper for fronts and rears. Balanced signal and pre-amp cables.
Tweaks: Carefull routing of wires to randomize noise. Power kept from signal cables. No hum.
Room Size (LxWxH): 28 x 12 x 8
Room Comments/Treatments: RealTraps Minis in tri-corners for bass, Hi-Freq traps on ceiling and walls at all first reflection points. Now listening near-field.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical primarily, some jazz, some R&R, some blues.
System Goals/Comments: Music 85%, movies 15% with increasing library of multichannel music.
System Strengths: Built around Maggies so sound is spacious and clear. Plenty of clean power. Maggie-loving wife.
System Weaknesses: Bigger room would be nice but not practical.

TV/Projector: Panasonic TC P50G20 Plasma
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Parasound Halo P7 + Classe CAV500 as above.

Comments on HT System: Plays through maggie MC system. Voices are really clear - even British accents!
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: semi-retired scientist, plays harpshichord (built it), golf and woodworking hobbies.
