Amplifier: | BEAR Labs Symphony No.1 Amplifiers |
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): | Custom BEAR Labs stepped attenuator/function switch. All pure silver wire, alloy silver 0.25' wiping contacts, metal film resistors. |
Speakers: | HORNS! Altec 203/803/1003 w/ special Nippon Gakki drivers, dead flat from ~250Hz up to >10khz.! Altec 416 for 300Hz. down to the Quadripole subs; also running space frame mounted Acoustat panels with BEAR Labs Quadripole Subwoofers (Crown Micro-Tech amps) and active Low Pass xover to subs. Some 150Hz. Tractrix horns, still awaiting construction of throats... yikes!! Also the BEAR Labs Stratos speaker system is just sitting around... |

Eclectic: David Torn/Thelonious Monk/ Grateful Dead before'73/ Hendrix/SRV/David Murray/Bach/ Horton Heat/any truly transcendant performance/gotta love Dafos & Planet Drum/Jazz (as long as it isn't schlock or wimpy)/the sound of Hefetz' violin/ and things you never heard of... |
