Wildcat's I'm getting there.. System
Last Update: August 22, 2001 at 20:33:58 IP Address: 66.26.237.245
Amplifier: Proceed HPA2
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Lexicon MC-1
Speakers: Mirage now, Aerial 6 soon
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Sony DVP-S7700
Mark Levinson No. 36 DAC
Other Source(s): DSS digital music
Sometimes I pump audio from the computer through for a good laugh.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Transparent
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Panamax 1500
Salamander Designs rack
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): A little bit of all kinds. It pays to keep an open mind.
System Goals/Comments: One piece at a time. If I can't afford what I want, I have to wait. :(
System Strengths: Very relaxing. Major cool factor. Get to laugh at my tone-deaf, Bose-owning friends.
System Weaknesses: Mirage speakers are fine for HT, but I need Aerial 6s for two-channel playback. Need a Proceed HPA3 for respectable theater sound. Need a Mark Levinso No. 360S for two-channel preamplifier and an upgrade to a No. 360S for processing. Oh, and a new transport. And some better cables. Oh yeah, and a new power conditioner. Someone said I needed a house too.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Sony WEGA 36XBR-400
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Lexicon MC-1
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): My original Mirage bookshelf speakers - still not bad at all.
Sources (DVD/VCR): Sony DVP-S7700
Sony SLV-798HF VCR (sits in the closet)
Other HT Gear: Philips Pronto. Comfy leather couch, or so I'm told. For some reason I still sit on the floor like I did when I was poor(er).
Comments on HT System: I never seem to watch it.
I really miss the tactile feel of remote controls, but still like the Pronto.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Travel
