System Goals/Comments: | It may not sound much on paper, but it out does any newer ~us$1500 system I've auditioned (and I auditioned many, despite not having that much to spend at the time...). Mine was a third of that, so i'm not doing too badly. Sometime in 2003 i'll find money for a major upgrade to tubes and speakers to match. |
System Strengths: | the decently sorted Thorens and B&O speakers (which came from a time when B&O equipment sounded good, rather than being little more than a design statement). |
System Weaknesses: | the small room. this will continue to be a problem as long as i live with my parents, which, at 17 will be for a while yet. speaker stands. |
