|Sony TA-FA3ES integrated amp 70wpc into 8ohms (remarkable sound quality and extended frequency response!)
|Preamplifier (or None if Integrated):
|Phase Tech Teatro 2.5 (shocking how well these small inexpensive speakers perform)/ Eytmotic ER-4s earplugs
|Sony SCD-XB940es to keep my SACD collection mobile.
|QED Silver Anniversary speaker cable and VenHaus style silver RCA interconnects
|Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.):
|not much since this thing travels
|usually put the speakers on BBC isolators
|This system travels with me as I work in different countries.
|Music Preferences and Comments:
|Music Used (Genre/Selections):
|I lean toward classical and jazz for critical listening, but I can appreciate all music that has merit behind it (which means no Brittney Spears or Country ;) )
|This system travels with me as I work in different countries. I've attempted to make things sound good while being portable. I've toyed with the idea of tugging along a PowerPlant, but it's just too much weight.
|SACD playback lends alot of sparkle and the Teatros can usually thow a very good space in the different hotel rooms and flats I inhabit.
|Obviously this isn't a no-holds-barred type of ordeal. This is a cost effective, reasonably portable system used to while away the months I spend abroad. Dealing with various rooms gets interesting.
|Sony PCG-F690K Laptop(hehe)
|Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub):
|Same as above
|Sony PCG-F690K Laptop DVD
|Comments on HT System:
|How else would you watch movies on the road?
|I work in the supercomputer business, but also try to find time to compose (albiet now only to be realized through electronic means).
