| Speakers: | Primary: DIY Fostex FE164 Secondary: DIY RS40-1354/RS40-1270D Tertiary: Heavily modded EPI 100's. They're keepers, but are temporarily without an amp or a place to set them up. |

| Speaker Cables/Interconnects: | DIY IC using Dayton Pro Microphone Cable and Dayton connectors. RS Megacable on speakers with gold plated spades for the amp and gold plated pins for the speakers. |
| Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): | Sennheiser 600 headphones on a DIY Morgan Jones 6922 amp (Earmax Pro clone); JR power filter on DVD; amp has builtin "X2" cap for RFI. |
| Tweaks: | Surge suppressor on TV retrofitted with P&S 5266-X plug, and DIY mains cables used throughout, with P&S 5266-X plugs, Marinco IEC320 connectors and 12SJ3 cable. |

| Room Comments/Treatments: | All walls lined with books on both freestanding and wall mounted shelves, except for area behind speakers, where eggcrate foam is used. Deep pile carpeting on the floor. |

| System Goals/Comments: | Increase overall musicality; specs be damned! |
| System Strengths: | Good sense of depth to soundstage. Very smooth and musically pleasing without fatigue. Good PRat with new speakers and tweaks to source. |
| System Weaknesses: | Bass response intentionally limited due to cramped quarters; also limits "neighbour annoyance factor." |
