Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Anime/movie soundtracks, j-pop, rock, alternative, some pop and rap, (acid) jazz, classical |
System Goals/Comments: | Transparency w/o sacrificing musicality, 3d soundstage, palpability |
System Strengths: | Soundstage: Excellent width & depth, solid imaging Palpability: You can almost (not quite) actually get a sense of presence from the singers and instruments Smooth: Allows most of the details to come through, but still allows enjoyment of less-than-stellar recordings Black background: Greatly helps instrument separation and background music that would otherwise be undetectable |
System Weaknesses: | Doesn't add any punch, which makes some hard music less exciting; somewhat laid-back... same effect. Slightly rolled-off in the highs. |
Video/HT System: Integrated | |
TV/Projector: | Sony Wega 32'' |

Comments on HT System: | Not bad. Excellent, slightly punchy bass; clear highs; good mids, but congested; soundstage is OK, imaging needs work. Once I get a better source, this should sound excellent! |
