System Goals/Comments: | Need to finish replacing connectors on other subwoofer w/Cardas Other than the speakers that I have had since 1981, this is the stuff I wanted but couldn't afford then. |
System Strengths: | Love the speakers. Absolutely breathtaking on guitar/drum intro to Bob Marley's 'Coming In From The Cold' |
System Weaknesses: | Possibly too many signal shapers in the circuit - could defeat purpose of 'straight line' preamp design. |
Video/HT System: Separate | |
TV/Projector: | Toshiba something-or-other. Big DLP sucker. |

Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): | Center - AR 4C Front - Technics SB-M01 Rear Surround - Boston Acoustics CR4 Subwoofer - Cambridge Newton P500 |
Sources (DVD/VCR): | Technics A10N |
Other HT Gear: | Lots and lots of remote controls |
Comments on HT System: | Fine for the family. Lousy remote controls on both amplifier and DVD. When did the manufacturers adopt the design feature where the power on light became the 'standby' light which stays on when the equipment is off? Seems like a waste of power as well as confusion with other components that do not have this setup. |
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: | Golf, reading, family, friends. |
