30 watt lm1875 gainclone monoblocks, using dual rectification powersupply, inverted operation, with custom aluminium cases and cabling

Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): 12 step passive attenuator built for gainclone

CD Player/DAC: Phillips cd210 - converted to zero oversampling, uses a tda1543. converted to top loading with machined cd puck and upgraded powersupply and rca jacks, and once i can find a certain op amp i will build a kwack clock
Turntable/Phono Stage: DIY glass tuntable connstructed with main bearing motor and ac regualtor out of my oldproject 2.1 turntable urntable, Grado black cartridge,The yamaha ca810 has a very good phonostage in it, adjustable imedence and gain

Turntable constructed with main bearing motor and ac regualtor out of my oldproject 2.1 turntable

Other Source(s): Teac x-7 open reel, Akai 400ds mk2 open reel,
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Jaycar OFC monitor speaker cable, and DIY flavour of the month stuff. DIY twin ground 30awg copper interconnects gold rca plugs
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): components are all on the floor sitting on flat polished granite slabs, i have a high quality solid copper core cable running from a 20 amp connection at the powerbox all the way to a brass wallplug in my soundroom, all gear is connected through that
Tweaks: straws in the jamo bass ports, blue tack on cd player clock, i burn all my cd'd on a dedicatd audio computer with linear powersupply running in safe mode on to black cd's at 1x speed using exact audio copy and a richo drive then they are put in the fridge overnight and then cd starts to sound like it should :), all my components are on the granite slabs on the floor and require minimal isolation
Room Size (LxWxH): 6.1m x 3.2m x 2.4m
Room Comments/Treatments: bookcases in all wall provide excelent sound dispersion

i am using the audio pysics method of speaker placement with the speaker chair centered right against the back wall and speakers halway in the room and almost an equalateral triangle with a nice amount of toe in

Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): progressive rock, synthpop, vocals, anything that is well produced

Depeche mode ! Pink floyd, alan parsons project, mike oldfield, the beatles, earl klugh, led zeplin, dire straits, radiohead, endorphin, delerium, madonna, kate bush, tori amos, film soundtracks,

System Goals/Comments: I am young, basically no one my age is interested in this side of audio, but i love it all, great music and great systems can have a profound impact on ones life. It is my goal to make a great entirely DIY system that reflects my own personality and design goals and which offers startling performance for the price. i love having girls in my soundroom, turning off the lights and pressing play on a good cd. then minutes later turning the lights back on and seeing the look on their face :)
System Strengths: Soundstaging, Soundstaging, Soundstaging what can i say except nothing gets this system going like some q sound recording great high end thanks to gaincloine and zero os player, transparent midrange and a sound i place in between cd and solidestate and vinyl and tubes, im having my cake and eating it, not for much $$$ thanks to diy and this forum
System Weaknesses: well thanks to bookselfs and the TQWP the bass isnt anything special in the lower octaves but hey i can live without it :)Because of my system and my love for hifi all my friends and parents think im crazy
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Bicycle trials, i own the only onza 26inch in australia and i love driving and playing with euroupean and jap imports
