Amplifier: EleKIT TU-872 2A3 Stereo Amp Modified for SET 45 triodes and Sylvania 6SN7GT/VT-231 driver tubes
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None
Speakers: Electro-Voice custom-built 3-way folded corner horns - a'la 'Aristocrats' (100dB)
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Jolida 603A Tubed CDP
Turntable/Phono Stage: None
Other Source(s): Sherwood S-3000II Mono FM Tuner
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Nothing special
Room Size (LxWxH): 11' x 10' x 8'
Room Comments/Treatments: Speakers in corners next to bed - stained glass windows behind
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz and classical / KCSM Jazz FM radio & KDFC Classical FM radio - an CDs on my new Jolida 603A 'Tubed' CD Player
System Goals/Comments: Aiming for a bit of nostalgia with old time tube radio sound that I grew up with
System Strengths: In Nirvana'sville with the SET 45 sound coupled with the EV Aristocrats - it's only 1 watt but it's the most beautiful watt on the planet - get 'lost' in the all encompassing rich and detailed sound field.
System Weaknesses: I don't even think about it anymore - in fact, I don't bother listening to any of my other state-of-the-art systems
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: 25 year old Sony Trinitron
