| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | I prefer Live recordings whenever possible, mostly Blues and Jazz from the masters.

| System Goals/Comments: | I put my system together with used components for right around $1600. I got lucky with my speakers though: $650 for the Lascala's and sub! High quality sound on a budget; yes it can be done! Thank God for E-bay!

| System Strengths: | Decent tube preamp mated with quality solid state amplifier is hard to beat: (1) warm, lively sound from tubes (2) solid, tight bass from SS amp.
|
| System Weaknesses: | Horns on Lascala's can be a little shrill at times although the addition of the tube preamp went a long way towards taming this problem. I also have a pair of original Heresies that I think sound a little better.
