Room Comments/Treatments: None.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz (classic and fusion), classic rock, r&b, blues, some classical. Just about anything other than rap, hip-hop and sicly sweet country.
System Goals/Comments: Natural timbre first, soundstaging/imaging secondary. Have to be able to sit and actually enjoy listening to more than a single album.
System Strengths: Good natural tones and dynamics.
System Weaknesses: Still messing with speaker setup. Finally have good tonality but low bass is somewhat sloppy and too prominent.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Mistubishi 50"
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Yamaha 995 AV receiver
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Energy Take 5 satellite. Not hooked as surround. Have A/B sets of fronts and center only. Liked surround for awhile...got bored with it. New house ... new speaker setup in video cabinet.
Sources (DVD/VCR): Toshiba Sd-9000
Sony VCR
Comments on HT System: Not a true fan. Prefer 3 channel arrangement.
DVD player has a simulated surround feature that suffices.
