Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Various and broad, but mostly classical, soft rock, pop, jazz, blues, international.
System Goals/Comments: Easy on the ears
System Strengths: Considering the neutrality of ZEN electronics bi-amped with two REL subs, the sound is blossoming and blooming in the midrange and lower treble, detailed in highs, extended deeply down to 20 Hz w/o calling attention to the subs. Overall visitors' reactions are, "Why need surround sound?" or "I can point exactly where the performers are playing" or "It seems like you can reach out and touch the musicians".
System Weaknesses: Low powered amplification (?)
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: SONY RP 43"
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: DENON 5700
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): NHT SuperTwo's, HSU HRS12V
Sources (DVD/VCR): Pioneer DV-525, CAMELOT DRAGON 5.1
Other HT Gear: PS Audio P300
Comments on HT System: Good enough for movies, but the focus has been moved to the above stereo system for the last 6 months. Planning to replace the NHT with either Horns or Radials, then it will be more like it.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Singing as a baritone soloist in the local church choir, computer programming, DBA
