Last Update: November 21, 2002 at 12:36:45 IP Address: 63.186.169.171
Amplifier: 2x 125/50 watt bi-amps onboard the Paradigm Active/20/s. Apex JR's for T-Line subs
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Stan Warren's Signature Line SuperPhon SP-100
Speakers: Paradigm Reference Active/20's &

Nick Huntington style TL-line active subs

Sources:
CD Player/DAC: NAD 512 (rarely used)
Turntable/Phono Stage: Rega Planar 3 with Cardas wire, VTA adjuster, external motor pod w/Maxon DC motor controlled with an HP variable DC power supply, Tape drive usinf Redpoint Audio pulley (thanks Thom)

Graham Slee's surprisingly excellent GramAmp 2 SE

Other Source(s): Radio Shack tuner (gotta listen to NPR somehow)
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: homemade 30 guage silver wire in packing tape, ala Greg Weaver's SST's, Jon Risch style Belden wire interconnects
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Direct mains supply from electric service panel to audio gear. Dedicated, independent ground for audio gear.
Tweaks: External DC motor pod w/1/2" VCR tape driving the glass platter on REGA Planar 3 with Phil Wood Green bicycle grease for REGA bearing
Room Size (LxWxH): 24 x 20 x 8/18
Room Comments/Treatments: listening space is in 8' ceiling half of room. Opens up into 18' cathedral ceiling
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): All, I have about 3000 records slowly being disc doctored, 1/3 classical, 1/3 Rock from 50's - 70's, 1/3 misc. jazz, world etc..
System Goals/Comments: remarkably well balanced with clean, deep bass extension using the TL-line subs
System Strengths: well balanced and forces one to tap feet. I'm a big fan of well designed active speakers
System Weaknesses: none for now, leaving time for record cleaning and listening
Video/HT System: None
