Music Preferences and Comments: | |
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Mostly progressive rock and symphonic rock like for example: Dream Theater, Marrilion, the Gathering, Porcupine tree, the Flower Kings, Ayeron, Spock's beard. |
System Goals/Comments: | I concentrate my efforts on tonal balance and imaging. I don't find the extreme ends of the spectrum very important, and i don't play at extremely loud volumes. At the moment i'm concentrating on room acoustics to defeat LF smearing. |
System Strengths: | Imaging is fairly good. Sort of flat response from 35Hz-20KHz. |
System Weaknesses: | Cannot play loudly without sounding harsh. Listening position must be picked very carefully. I use a quite extreme EQ to counter room effects. |
