14 channel, 4 Group mixer
Sony SRP-f300 digital loudspeaker management system

Dipole low Linkwitz style W-baffle with 2 TC Sounds 15" drivers a side
200Hz tractrix round horn with Focal 5w4211 midbass driver
Visaton TL16H HF horn
CD Player/DAC: Pioneer Pd505S
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Nothing special, i don't believe in the use of special cables for audio signals.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): 2 home made 22He 19-inch racks
Tweaks: I employed low CFM silent fans in the power amps
Room Size (LxWxH): 7m x 4m x 1-3.5m
Room Comments/Treatments: Still to come
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Mostly progressive rock and symphonic rock like for example: Dream Theater, Marrilion, the Gathering, Porcupine tree, the Flower Kings, Ayeron, Spock's beard.
System Goals/Comments: I concentrate my efforts on tonal balance and imaging. I don't find the extreme ends of the spectrum very important, and i don't play at extremely loud volumes.
At the moment i'm concentrating on room acoustics to defeat LF smearing.
System Strengths: Imaging is fairly good. Sort of flat response from 35Hz-20KHz.
System Weaknesses: Cannot play loudly without sounding harsh. Listening position must be picked very carefully.
I use a quite extreme EQ to counter room effects.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Philips 100Hz 82cm (32") widescreen tv
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Yamaha RX-v1400
My stereo system is used for fronts in HT setup
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): DIY Center surrounds, Center and sub are to be built soon.
Sources (DVD/VCR): Philips VR830 HiFi stereo VCR
Pioneer DV-565A-S DVD player
Comments on HT System: I'm not really a surround sound fanatic, but i do like the dynamic movie soundtracks. And while watching movies, i'm less troubled by the complaints i normally have about my system.
