Amplifier: | Rotel RB850 50 watts/dual mono. All caps bypassed with polys. Not bad for $$$.

Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): | Dyna Pas2; noble pot,no tone controls, massive supply,dc heater, silver internal wire. Linestage only.

Speakers: | Rogers JR149. ls3/5a in an aluminum cylinder. Wired with silver. On 24" custom stands weighing 75# each.

Turntable/Phono Stage: | AR with all Merrill Mods;subchassis,acrylic lead platter, outer ring, motor and ps. Custom lead-lined plinth sitting on Tiptoes. AQ pt5 arm, Grado Platinum, Creek OBH-8 with bigger power supply. 30awg magnet wire from arm.

Speaker Cables/Interconnects: | AQ Indigo, RS 30awg magnet wire in a twisted pair from TT to Creek 26awg magnet wire in a twisted pair from Creek to Pas. Kimber PBJ to power amp. AQ Indigo.

Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): | Panamax 1000 conditioner, 30 inch Target rack, maple cutting board under TT, hockey pucks under preamp.

Tweaks: | VPI 16.5 machine. Fluid is 75% distilled water, 25% isopropyl, and a few drops of Kodak PhotoFlow. I clean used albums on them only once when I get them and then use a carbon fibre brush thereafter.

System Goals/Comments: | I'm probably done upgrading for several years. My philosophy is to keep it simple-put the money at the source.

System Strengths: | The system makes me smile and doesn't add much to call attention to itself. Very tuneful and musical.
