Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: | Harmony single RCA-RCA plug - 2m lead. Harmony 3.5mm plug to stereo RCA plugs - 2m lead. Both use high-grade OFC cable and gold-plated, teflon shielded connectors.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): | Low level power surge and spike protection.
Tweaks: | Reworking of the solder joints in the Harmony leads to improve signal transfer.
Room Size (LxWxH): | 5m x 5m x 3.5m
Room Comments/Treatments: | Too small and the untreated plasterboard walls cause low frequencies to lose definition.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Wholly eclectic tastes.
System Goals/Comments: | Has a comfortable sound, but I'd like to improve the DAC quality. Love the sound of the new Bose Acoustimass 2.1 system as well, but it's expensive.
System Strengths: | Intense mid-range clarity and tight (if not deep) bottom end. Low power consumption.
System Weaknesses: | Average HF response due to the lack of a dedicated tweeter. Can be excessive port noise from the subwoofer at high volume levels.
Video/HT System:
None
