System Goals/Comments: | I just want to enjoy music without spending alot of money. I listen at low levels, so I think this is a realistic goal. |
System Strengths: | Great value! I am not good with all the audiophile terms to describe what I like about the system. I'll just say I am content. |
System Weaknesses: | Imaging is not precise. Room situation dictates speakers non-equidistant from the sidewalls. That equals different reflections for each speaker, so speakers sound quite a bit different, and that messes up the soundstage. It kind of slants, male vocals a little left of center, female vocals a little right of center. But hey, Bonnie Raitt is dead center...hehe! It's mostly old stuff, which makes me want to buy something shiny and new, but then I can never bring myself to spend the kind of money it takes to put together a nice system. |
