Mr. Ed 's Irving System
Last Update: September 07, 2002 at 11:19:01 IP Address: 128.135.231.49
Amplifier: Rega Luna Integrated 60W
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None
Speakers: Spica TC50 w/ dedicated stands
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Creek CD60
Turntable/Phono Stage: Rega P3 w/ Super Elys Cartridge, on Sound Organization wall shelf
Other Source(s): Creek T40 Tuner, HK Cassette Deck
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Naim cable, Chord Company interconnects
Tweaks: 1) CD player has Simply Physics "Isodrive". 2) "Netti Pot" is a nasal irrigation system (yuck!) that clears my sinuses and probably helps my hearing!
Room Size (LxWxH): 10 x 21 x 9
Room Comments/Treatments: Treat your room well, and... Seriously, the livingroom looked ugly but, unfortunately, sounded better before remodelling, when acoustical ceiling and stucco walls were removed.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Jazz, Oldies Rock, some easies and modern rock.
System Goals/Comments: Musicality over "hi-fi".
System Strengths: A lot of MUSIC for the price.
System Weaknesses: Can't plumb the audible heights and depths- though I feel way too much is made of this aspect by audiophiles. Also, speakers are fantastic ($450 when new 10 years ago!), but probably could be upgraded.
Video/HT System: None
