Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz primarily (from bop to freedom), do listen to everything else from classical to rock, Brahms to Dead Can Dance, the Stones to Coldplay
System Goals/Comments: Must excel at jazz, acoustic music playback.
System Strengths: Quite dynamic, full-range, good vinyl playback.
System Weaknesses: Used to miss the bottom end (even with Krell amplication) but amp and speaker changes and SME arm fixed all that!
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: JVC DLA-G11 DILA projector, Panamorph lens, WhisperFlow enclosure, Vutec GreyDove 96x54 fixed screen
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Sony TA-E9000ES surround processor/preamp, Parasound HCA-1205A for center and rears
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Sold the center channel (no center is better!), Von Schweikert TS-210 surrounds
Sources (DVD/VCR): HTPC (3.2GHz, ATI Radeon 9600 Pro) for DVD, Pioneer Elite CLD-97 LD player, JVC SVHS VCR
Other HT Gear: Motorola 6412 HDTV dual tuner and PVR (for Comcast HDTV)
Comments on HT System: Greate picture from HTPC, enjoyable surround sound. Integrated through the HT bypass on the preamp. Unable to use a sub at my location but VR4's go deep enough for me. Recently rid of center channel.
