Last Update: April 24, 2003 at 09:01:33 IP Address:
Amplifier: Pioneer VSX D307
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): None, Integrated
Speakers: Vintage KLH-1 Computer Controlled Loudspeakers (Stereo Mains) and cheap-ass KLH 9906's (Rear Surrounds & Front Center)
CD Player/DAC: Sony DVP-NS315 Single Disc DVD Player
Turntable/Phono Stage: Sony PS-LX250H Belt Drive Turntable
Other Source(s): Playstation 2, XBOX,
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: OFC 14 gauge to KLH-1's,OFC 16 gauge to KLH-9906's
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Surge Protector
Tweaks: KLH-1 Analog Bass Computer, connects to Pioneer via RCA cables to Tape 2/Monitor IN/OUT. KLH-1 computer also connects to main speaker outputs via 16 gauge wire.
Room Comments/Treatments: The purpose of the KLH Analog Bass Computer is basically that of an active EQ processor. It listens to the source of whatever you are playing, and then compares the amplifier output to the original source. In real time it actively compensates for the differences and eq's the source signal and sends it back to the amplifier, so that the amplifier will reproduce exactly what the original source sounded like. I use this computer religiously with my loudspeakers. I don't care how accurate an amp is today. The speakers have NEVER been used without the computer and NEVER will. The bitch is that today it is impossible it seems to find a good dolby digital or thx amp that has a tape 2/monitor connection, so it looks as if I may just have to run the KLH-1 system on its own discrete amplifier when I upgrade to digital.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Techno (and not that crappy jock jams stuff, we're talking from Kraftwerk to Tangerine Dream to Herbie Hancock to BT to The Orb... etc.) Rock Music (It just has to be of good sound quality, and it helps if the music is good, heheh)
System Goals/Comments: Dolby Digital/Ultra THX certified amp that will let me be a bitch about my KLH's and allow for me to use the KLH computer. (Will never happen, lol)
System Strengths: Nothin but the KLH-1 computer controlled loudspeakers and the KLH-1 Analog Bass Computer, baby, it's what makes the system worth anything.
System Weaknesses: It's frickin pro-logic!!! I'm usin crappy KLH surrounds!!!
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Sony Trinitron Wega 32"
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Pioneer VSX D307 Integrated Amplifier, Rated 100w X 4 (L,R,Center,Rear)
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Stereo Mains: KLH-1 Computer Controlled Loudspeakers

Surrounds: KLH 9906 satellites

Sources (DVD/VCR): DVD, Playstation 2, Microsoft XBOX
Other HT Gear: Nothin yet...
Comments on HT System: It may not an impressive setup to the audiophile with a fat wallet, but I do the best I can with it, and it is still better than the majority of peoples system (if they even have one).
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: If it don\'t involve movies or music, I don\'t care!!!
