Amplifier: B.K. Electronics (not to be confused with B&K) amp modules; customized Borbely Audio amp
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Marchand Electronic PR-41 Passive Preamp; Marchand XM-9 Active Crossover; Marchand Bassis Unit
Speakers: Custom built speakers using the Manger MSW bending wave transducers and pair of AFT 8s
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Old Denon 8 bit CD player (to be replaced as soon as the manufacturers agree on a format or universal transports and DACs become readily available
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Cardas Litz wire for interconnects and Axon 4
Tweaks: Baffle step compensation circuit added to active crossover
Room Size (LxWxH): 16' x 22' x 10'

Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Jazz and classical for critical listening; some R& B and pop
System Goals/Comments: To obtain the best possible sound from speakers placed close to a back wall and that, for SAF reasons, had to be kept reasonably small (41"Hx10"Wx11"D)
System Strengths: Imaging and accuracy
System Weaknesses: Not a large room speaker; does not have dynamic qualities for rock; somewhat limited low bass (bottom is about 30Hz.)
