Amplifier: Vacuum State Electronics, Inc. Designed PP1C (custom built by Warren) 12 Watts/Channel
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Vacuum State Electronics, Inc. Designed RTP-4 Balanced Phono/Line stage with SuperReg power supply and step attenuators (Custom Built by Warren)

Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Sony DVP-S9000ES and Sony SCD-C333ES
Turntable/Phono Stage: Thorens TD-124 with Slate Audio marble plinth, power supply and glass platter mat, Dynavector DV-507 (new model) tone arm, London (Decca) Jubilee, and various Ikeda 9 series cartridges.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Custom cables/interconnects based upon the ideas and information in Allen Wright's CABLE COOKBOOK.
Tweaks: Both Sony SACD players are equipped with Allen Wright's (VSEI) LEVEL I and LEVEL II mods.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Pop-Jazz-Rock-Classical and a smattering of Willie Nelson.
System Goals/Comments: The system is agressively under continual development to improve musical realism. The goal is to bannish all vestiges of the "hi fi sound," leaving only musical instruments and human voices.
System Strengths: It sounds very real and open. IMHO better than the megabucks systems at the high end dealers.
System Weaknesses: It doesn't play as loud as some people would prefer, but mostly it's loud enough for me.
Video/HT System: None
