CD Player/DAC: Optimus (Radio Shack) CD-3760
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: none
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): More on the rock side of things but it still preforms surprisingly well on classical too. For more music preferences see my Home Headphone system.
System Goals/Comments: I use this system around the house and on trips.
System Strengths: The ER-6s have great isolation and are very small. The CD-3760 has very good sound and loads of power. Before I got the ER-6s, I would use the CD-3760 to drive my Sennheiser HD-600s to LOUD volume with good sound.
System Weaknesses: Bass on the little ER-6s is good but comes nowhere close to that of the HD-600s and the high end errs on the bright side with some tizz. Dispite it's many strengths, the CD-3760 is still just a Radio Shack portable and lacks in resolution, high frequencies, etc...
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: I am an engineer in a small project studio. I play piano, organ, bass guitar, and some acoustic guitar. I also do a lot of aranging and composition.
