| Music Used (Genre/Selections): | I'm listening to new genres of music, especially classical (I used to be a hard rocker!). 40% Classical (symphony, chamber, solo piano), 40% Jazz, 20% other (soul / R&B, rock, alternative, rap, latin, etc...). |
| System Goals/Comments: | To my ears, some high end is antiseptic and sterile, focusing on number of 'pin drops' rather than making music. They remind me of a laboratory, not a concert hall. My goal was to build something different and hopefully better. I think it sounds pretty nice. |
| System Strengths: | Sense of scale, both large (like symphony) and small (like chamber or jazz). Pressurizes the entire room with sound energy (not the same as loudness). Very sensitive (both a benefit and liability). Effortless. |
| System Weaknesses: | Impractical size and expense, interferes with my non-audio pursuits, less social interaction. Friends think I'm a little crazy. |
