Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Classic pop (eg Beatles, Beach Boys, Kinks, Velvet Underground, Stax/Tamla, girl groups, David Bowie), moody singer-songwriters (eg Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Dory Previn, Ron Sexsmith), saloon singers (eg Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, Julie London), melodic jazz (eg Dave Brubeck, Chet Baker, Ben Webster), and some classical (mainly baroque, especially French baroque, and Romantic piano music, especially Liszt and Chopin). |
