Room Size (LxWxH): 18 x 14 x 8'
Room Comments/Treatments: Mostly absorb high frequencies which provides for smoother treble and better able to hear into the midrange and bass.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Everything. And, I do mean everything.
System Goals/Comments: Would like to increases transparency and make a more life like presentation (like I used to have with the Magnepans, but with more dynamics). Would like a bigger/deeper soundstage to hear into the music better.
System Strengths: Smooth treble and clear midrange.
System Weaknesses: Awful bass null at listening seat. Room is a shared family room so not possible to eliminate TV and furniture that is effecting the sound. Also not able to add bass traps or treat first reflection points.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Sony 27'
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Marantz SR 7200
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Bose cubes (single cube, quite old) for sides, Infinity for center, 30 year old Kenwoods for rears
Sources (DVD/VCR): marantz
Other HT Gear: none
Comments on HT System: Doesn't sound great, but it works and its fun. Don't watch as many movies as the kids do anyway
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: hiking, biking, cooking, reading, going to concerts and hanging out
