Speakers: As of October 2023: REFERENCE 3A de Capo in piano black.
Took too long to finally get a pair but well worth the wait and
they exceed expectations.

Needed a bit more bass and rather than messing with a
sub, bought a Schiit Loki Mini+ and only use the bass setting
to boost the bass to the right for me level.
GREAT addition, no muss, no fuss.

These are AMAZINGLY FINE monitors, only replaced because of the de Capos.

AH! NJOE TJOEB 4000 CD

Sylvania 7308 tjoebs, Herbie's tube ringies, some light damping of
the inside top, going to play with some footers.

Added Burson V6 opamps with "extensions" by drilling a
section of the case top off, effectively "hot rodding" this
great old CDP. Worth it? Yep!

Would LOVE to upgrade the power cord/change the inlet.
Any (relatively easy) ideas are VERY welcome...

Turntable/Phono Stage: RETIRED/SOLD/GONE as of August 2019.
Currently no TT.
Perhaps again, someday.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:

Furutech SP-15A outlet > TG Audio SLVR> PS Audio Duet Power Center (on isolation pads). The speakers and Duet are on the top of 26" high wood record shelves each weighted down by several hundred LPs. Solid!

Tweaks:

Been using this for nearly 20 years? Anyway, will NEVER be without it.
It IS efficacious!, Irrational or not!!

Room Size (LxWxH): 13 x 13 x 12
Room Comments/Treatments:

COPPER TAPE ON WINDOWS!

Small room regularly dusted and vacuumed and full of furniture, plump book and record cases, pictures, paintings, sculpture and other trappings of a comfy life. Cat hair galore! Many different surfaces/materials for them sound waves to move around and dance with...

Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections):

I prefer good music or...better. A bit of almost any genre gets played - Jazz, Cuban, African, Celtic, Middle Eastern, Rock, Chamber, Soul, Latin, Vocal, Instrumental, Electric, Acoustic, Ellington, Roots, New, Old and In-Between, etc.

System Goals/Comments:

Goal(s)? That it keep working.
It's an incredibly satisfying system of great used/tweaked specifically chosen components bought on a modest budget. VERY musical... A larger room would be nice to fully experience the joys of this system and offer better speaker placement.

System Strengths:

Present, involving, engaging, musical... captivating- so EASY to listen to. An eight hour listening session can leave me still wanting more...

System Weaknesses:

Well, the sweet spot can get awfully crowded at times...Currently? Too enraptured to notice... any problems have more to do with the room or myself than with the system. Since it's the Living Room, room tweaks/treatments are hampered if not downright frowned upon.
