Amplifier: | VTL 450 monoblocks. Working on setting up the Jadis active crossover. When I do, it is possible the setup will be Pioneer M-Z1 monoblocks for the bass and Audio Tekne 2A3 PP monos for the mid/treble. |
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): | Currently using the Pioneer C-Z1 preamp - a fantastic preamp from the excess of the early 80s. |
Speakers: | Jadis Eurythmie 11s: Large, unwieldy, 'love 'em or hate 'em' looks. Scary good low-level detail; slightly tune-able crossovers. Excellent bass in the right room. I now have obtained the Jadis' external crossover for the speakers but am working on appropriate set-up in new space. |

Other Accessories/Room/Misc.: | |
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: | Purist Venustas speaker cables; Jade Audio Vermeil and Gold interconnects, Audio Tekne ICs and phono cables, Red Rose Music ICs as well; Purist Dominus/B PCs x 2, Kimbers on the emmlabs, stock elsewhere. |
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): | CSE isolation regulator (Japanese power conditioner); big custom racks of no particular note; |
Tweaks: | Bass traps in the corners. Some tweaks are in the Z1 series components themselves. |
Room Comments/Treatments: | Home-built quarter-round bass traps about 100cm tall. Amazing effect for cheap tweak. Best bang for buck I have EVER spent on my stereo. I am thinking about building more similar 'boxes' to see what happens. |
