Amplifier: Lineartech Stereo Power Amplifier L-200

Sansuii AU-515 Amplifier
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): none
Speakers: Infinity - Monitor JR's

Bose 901 Series 3

My Headphones are Sennheiser HD 25 SP

Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Philips CDR 800
Turntable/Phono Stage: Esoteric Sound, Professional Restoration Deck, with Ortofon 3E w/ 78 stylus. ( I hope in the near future to be able to buy the Grado CS Custom series, it includes 2.0,2.5,3.O,3.5,4.0(CONICAL)stylus plus each will be mounted on their own cartidges with headshells, this will be a $800.00 investment for me, but with all the older 78's I have, it's the best way and most reasonable way for me to record those 78's.)

Dual 1215S TT

Other Source(s): Sony TC-WE435 Dual Auto Reverse Deck with Pitch Control

Teac Reel To Reel 3340

Sony Auto Reverse Reel To Reel TC-440

Lafayette 8-Track Tape Player RK-D985

Fostex Line Mixer Model 2016

2 Numark Tape Mixers TC4100

Samson Graphic Equalizer E62i 1/3 Octave Dual 31 Band Contant Q

The Line Mixer is the heart of the system. Everything runs through the Line Mixer. All I can say is that it works. It was the only way I can hook everything up with the budget that I have.

Audio Source Model EQ-14

A direct feed from The Common Areas System. This also is attached to my computer, I can watch movies from The Cabinet System on my computers monitor. The computer is directly attached to The Rack System as well and vise versa.

I use 2 microphones as well.

The Teac Stereo Microphone that I use on the Reel To Teel Decks and a PVS CM-92B Microphone, I still need a decent Phantom Power Supply/Mixer for it.

Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Monster Cable, (If my Monster Cables keep biting the dust, I won't have any more.)
Radio Shack Gold (to replace the dying Monster Cables with),
Cable Up (TEAC) : 2 8' 8 channel snakes & 2 12' 8 channel snakes : rca to rca, rca to 1/4' & 1/4' to 1/4' both balanced and unbalanced & 1/4' to XLR plus XLR cables.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): ART Powerstation PS 4x4

ART Powerbase PB 4x4

1 Realistic APM-300 Audio Meter

Tweaks: Ampex Recorder Accessory Kit Model 895 : Includes Tape Splicer Model 805, Head Demagnetizer Model 820 ( I use for the reel to reels), and I have several reels of splicing and leader tape that I use to repair the cassette, 8-track, and reel to reel tapes I have. I also have a reel of aluminum foil to repair 8-tracks with.

MCM Head Demagnetizer Part 72-880 (I use for the 8-track and cassette decks)

Shure Precision Stylus Force Gauge SFG-2

Esoteric Sound DSC-1 Disc Stabilizer Clamp

Sound Level Meter 50 to 126 db

I use Philips Performax Laser Lens cleaner for all my digital optical players.

I use an ancient but still in good working condition Allsop3 cleaner for my cassette decks and I use the ol cotton swab for the reels and 8-track players.

I bought these cork rubber stabilizers to go under the TT's. They have been great.

I have several of the discwasher record and stylus cleaners, my main discwasher also has a static gun. Plus I have a record cleaner developed by Spin-Clean and I bought a plastic label protector made by William Sargent.

So my tight budget still allows me to buy things that will help protect and preserve my collection.

Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Good ol' rock n' roll, blues, jazz, classical, some country, many others. The biggest selections of my vast collection are The Doors, Blondie, Pat Benatar, Alan Parsons Project, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Nancy Sinatra, The Police, Linda Ronstadt, a large variaton of Prokofievs Peter and the Wolf. Beatrice Lillie does a very unique rendition of this. I also have over 250 records that are only Christmas music, Christmas being my favorite time of year, it's only fitting. I have over 2,500 LP's in my collection. My collection spans 100 years and yes I have listened to all my recordings. And I have many forms of mediums I listen too LP's, 45's, 78's, 8-tracks, cassettes, CD's, reel to reel, MP3's, soon MD and DM.
System Goals/Comments: Well, I have a ways to go. I still need the Carver C 4000 pre amp, an md player/recorder and an dm recorder/player. When I get the 901's rebuilt, the sound in the house will be incredible. I realize to some of you that what I have may be a joke. Just remember, not all of us can afford to buy one piece for $5,000, some of us make due with what we can.
System Strengths: The versatility of the system is it's strengths. When I am done, I will be able to play and record with any medium I wish. Being a music nut, this is a must. Plus, I have my computer hooked up to the system as well. I can record onto the computer and I can record from the computer. Making MP3's and other recordings is easy this way.
System Weaknesses: The spekers are the weakest part of the system now. I was forced to replace the woofers on the Infinitys with something that just doesn't match up to the originals, I hope to get those replaced in a year or two as well. The Polk Audio monitors will hopefully be replaced within the next year, they just can't handle the bass.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: CTX 19inch monitor running off a 350MHZ computer with an ATI All in Wonder video card
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Philips FR-930 Receiver
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Polk Audio Monitors
Sources (DVD/VCR): RCA Select-A-Vision 1000

JVC HR-535OOU HI-FI VCR

Terapin TT-2600DVD

Terapin TX-0002 CD Audio & Video Recorder

Sony Beta 2 & 3 SL 5800

Other HT Gear: For recording purposes, I use my main computer with 2 dvd rw dual layer decks and an assortment of dvd software to help record things

Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Cooking is my next big hobby it has grown into a website The Cooking Inn (www.thecookinginn.com), plus I collect movies, I buy mostly laserdsic with the new mediums out, I can buy the old style cheaply. I also play the Saxaphone, when my health permits. My occupation is my website, building it, updating it, etc.
