Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): My tastes are very catholic. Apart from Pope John's Greatest Hits I love: Soul; 70's, 80's and 90's rock; funk from every decade; ditto blues and rock and roll; ska, roots reggae and rock steady. About the only music I don't like is regimental marching music, oh and heavy gangster rap. But aren't the two almost identical ?
System Goals/Comments: I like what I have a lot. SET's and super-efficient speakers are certainly the way to go. My next move is a speaker with forward firing and rear firing (at an angle), Lowther-based speakers.
System Strengths: Astonishing speed. I have never heard a faster system. Incredible imaging for an omnidirectional speaker. Instruments just float
System Weaknesses: Occasional abrasive highs and a little lightness in the bass that were recently cured respectively by the Decware Gizmo and most dramatically by the Goldring.
