Room Comments/Treatments: | It's a workshop where I build custom tube amps (guitar and bass) along with custom guitars and basses- it's what I do for a living. It's a terrible room for audio, with its concrete floor and large bulky machines all over the place. I do what I can to make it sound decent, though. |
Music Preferences and Comments: | |
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | Hmmm... Rock, Punk, Reggae, Jazz, Alternative/Indy. For example: The Ziggens, Sublime, Charles Mingus, Jaco Pastorius, Ramones, Coltrane, Luscious Jackson, Bargain Music, Half Pint, Yellowman, various blues artists... |
System Goals/Comments: | It sounds good but I'm on a constant search for a better sounding CD player than my ancient Yamaha. I've tried many but few have been much of an improvement. Rotel sounded great but the one I got was unreliable (having repaired British cars I was not shocked, no pun intended) |
System Strengths: | Sounds pretty good for such a tough room. Sansui tuner sounds great. |
System Weaknesses: | Could use a little more power... |

Comments on HT System: | Video? What's that? |
