Turntable/Phono Stage: VPI HW-19 MkIV, SAMA, Super Arm Board,SS Clamp, SME-IV w Shure V-15VxMR sporting a Jico SAS stylus, Kimber TAK-H Tonearm Cable on home-built sandbox. The arm has received the simple but effective tweak of removing the "bridge" over the bearing. Modified suspension using Herbie's Big Foot dampers. Added April '06 - Audio Points and Black Diamond Racing "shelf" under SAMA

Music Used (Genre/Selections): Catholic Tastes: Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, Classical (5,000 LP's, 500 CD's)
System Goals/Comments: To make music a pleasure to listen to without focusing on the 'sound'.
System Strengths: Great soundstage & imaging, Deep, powerful bass that is tuneful (no subwoofer), super vocal quality.
System Weaknesses: Fewer and fewer thanks to the help of fellow inmates.

Comments on HT System: Mainly for the 'wifey'. HT not a priority for me. As long as I can watch NCIS, Bones, etc. and hear what's going on. AND - as long as it stays in a different room.
