Amplifier: DejaVu Audio 2A3 tube amp. 6wpc.
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): DejaVu Audio 6SN7 based preamp with MM phono stage.
Speakers: Spendor 1/2E's(88db sensitive and seems very efficient)
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Audio Note DAC-ONE.1x Signature; Audio Note CDT-ONE transport.
Turntable/Phono Stage: Refurbushed Thorens TD-121 TT; Rega RB300 arm; Transfiguration Esprit; MM stage in DejaVu preamp.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Audio Note Lexus XL speaker cables, 8 ft. biwired; Audio Note AN-Vx 'digital' interconnect; Audio Note AN-V interconnects and AN-Vx interconnects.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Sound Anchor dedicated stands for Spendor 1/2's
Tweaks: generic version of blue-tak between speakers and stands.
Room Size (LxWxH): 19' x 14' x 9'
Room Comments/Treatments: still working on it. A pile of pillows at the first reflection point to right side.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Classical, Rock, getting into Jazz.
System Goals/Comments: My goal was to get this amp and preamp, so now I'm enjoying. I'll come up with some goals soon I guess :)
System Strengths: It's not just the sound, but the mood, and changes in mood. This preamp is magic. It has the 'feel' of live music, and gets the timing right, and the attacks of notes right as well as the middle and decay.
System Weaknesses: Give me some time to enjoy it first :) .
Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: martial arts, mathematics, studying and writing music, reading and writing fiction, playing keyboards of any kind. Economist by day.
