Amplifier: Sound valve m40 mono block tube amps

Peavey CS800S in bridge mode, 800 into 4ohms.

Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Sound valve VTP-101 all 12ax7 tube pre/w/phono section.

Audio Control's Ricter Scale sub eq. and x-over, (60hz, 18db/octave)

Speakers: Magnaplanar MMG's

Swans 12" sub driver in a Gallo design enclosure that I made. Dual voice coil driver.

Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Sound Stream DAC-1, fed by older Denon 5 disk changer with rca digi output.
Turntable/Phono Stage: Technics SL-20 deck with OEM RB300 with original wire, and lowcenter weight.

Monolithic Series 2 phono pre (PS2)with optionalPower supply HC 1b.

Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Harvey Rosenberg's suggested Radio Shack magnet wire interconnects, mostly through out. Spkr, monster 14 guage grey jacket stuff, 12' long.
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Those $30 plug in to wall line quieters. 4 of them plugged into outlets in listening room.
Tweaks: Bags of cat litter on speaker stand brackets, press speakers into carpet.
Room Size (LxWxH): 10 x 12 x 7.5
Room Comments/Treatments: Attic room with peak flat for 6-7 feet at top, slopeing to 3.5 high along length of room.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Well recorded rock, jazz, vocal/choir, percussion ensemble and most big classical.
System Goals/Comments: Big, well imaged sound, with deep bass and pleasent highs. Make piano believable.
System Strengths: see above. Choice of wires, make a difference, as well as foam to cover the walls in the right places.
System Weaknesses: Weeding them out. Never been this good before.
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Sony Vega 27 inch.
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Sony DVD surround capable unit running a

Peavey PV260 100p/ch amp.

Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Peavey 656 british designed chineese two-way with Titanium tweets.

Other HT Gear: Peavey Kosmos processor for filling in lower octave, and adding stereo enhancement.
Comments on HT System: Processor precludes needing a sub and all that goes with it. Tried it both ways. Speakers ceiling mounted and plenty of deep bass.
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: Target Shooting, night sky watching, playing jazz drums. Music teacher and sales.
