Amplifier: Carver HR-772 Receiver
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): none
Speakers: Definitive Tech BP8
B&W 302d
Boston CR400 sub
Sources:
CD Player/DAC: Cambridge Audio D300 and PS Audio Digital Link G. 2
Turntable/Phono Stage: don't have the $ :(
Other Source(s): Sony MDS-j510 Minidisc recorder/player

Carver TD-1700 tape deck (NICE stuff)

Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Interconnects: cheap coaxial from CDP to DAC, cheap TOSLink from MD to DAC, Audioquest Ruby from DAC to reciever. Cheap monsters from tape to reciever

Audioquest Ruby from DAC to Receiver, crappy monster for the tape

Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Beautiful custom oak rack...I don't think I could buy one like it for less that $2K
Room Size (LxWxH): 18' x 14' x 7'3
Room Comments/Treatments: sound proofed celing tiles w/ 8" fiberglass insulation above.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): All.....mostly rock and alternative. Some punk, a little blues.
System Goals/Comments: When i play around with the B&W's, the imaging is amazing....the the Def. Techs, it's not bad either. I like the extended range they have over the B&W's
System Strengths: good overall performance...used to be GREAT imaging, now just good. It's going to be really nice when i find the cash to turn this into a nice HT system
System Weaknesses: A little harsh, but the Cambridge and Carver pair tone down the Def. Techs problems
Video/HT System: Separate
TV/Projector: Proscan 56"
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: Yamaha RX-V393 receiver w/ Yamaha DDP-1 DD decoder
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): Boston 9000 system
Sources (DVD/VCR): Panasonic's cheapest DVD, old junker VCR
Comments on HT System: done under a serious budget.....
