Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Audio Note M10

CD Player/DAC: Emm Labs DCC2 and CDSD Signature Editions
Turntable/Phono Stage: None.
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: Nordost Valhalla, Jorma Design No. 1
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): HRS MXR equipment rack.
Room Size (LxWxH): 25 x 15 x 8
Room Comments/Treatments: The room is shared with Reference #2 system at other end of room.
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Everything (well, Mike does not like extremely derivative music with somebody singing off key)
System Goals/Comments: We are going for a big, big sound with lots of detail and depth which envelopes the listener and won't let go.
System Strengths: This system has a lovely, rich, dynamic, and very engaging sound.
System Weaknesses: The bass is different from the traditional cone-driver produced bass - it is very strong and powerful and hits one squarely in the chest - but it is different enough that some people hear it as being a little strange and some as being more natural and real (I think it really depends on if the source of the bass was a real instrument or artificially synthesized)
Video/HT System: None
