Room Size (LxWxH): | 45 x 30 x 11.5 |
Room Comments/Treatments: | BIG room. Tons of glass. Yet acoustics in seating area may be satisfactory due to oriental rugs, lots of art, larger sofas, etc. Ceiling is finishe with patterns of moldings to reduce standing waves. |
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): | This is a multi-purpose room (living room, parties, theater) so the preferred music is usually something in the background or somewthing danceable. |
System Goals/Comments: | After the cabinetry arrived, the sound finally snapped into place. I have not yet spent a lot of time critically listening, but it's good in two-channel. It also sounds great when I used the oft-praised Lexicon Logic 7 circuit. |
System Strengths: | Good quality gear. Flexible. Great front spakers. |
System Weaknesses: | I need a better CD source than the NAD changer or the Toshiba DVD set. |
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: | Pioneer Elite PRO 710HD |
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: | see above |
Speakers (Center, Surrounds, Sub): | see above |
Sources (DVD/VCR): | Toshiba SD 5109 DVD player JVC S-VHS VCR DishNetwork DBS |
Other HT Gear: | Using DISH Network box for HD sources. |
Comments on HT System: | Lots of ambient light ruled out front projectors. The Pioneer Elite is superb. The smartest purchase was a pair of very comfortable sofas with relatively low arms. That way my wife and I can each sprawl while we watch. |
