Room Size (LxWxH): var x var x 8.10'
Room Comments/Treatments: Room has large cavities behind listener and speakers, which essentially puts you in the center of a larger room. Overall room is slightly irregular but focus has been on creating symetry and seems to sound quite spacious and neutral, (also available, ASC tube trap studio room, and Vintage listening room that is on concrete slab in finished basement... record cleaning)
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): Lounge, Exotica, Jazz, Progressive, Psychadelic/60's folk psych, Latin, African, Ethnic/World ,Rock,Funk, R&B, Classical, Soundtracks, Electronica/remix, old country, historic 78s ...Everything!
System Goals/Comments: Enjoyment, musical, balance between audiophile refinement and letting the music speak. Seek a system that sounds open and spacious on Jazz but powerful and gutteral on Rock. Seek open highs, neutral mids, taunt but full low end that is not exaggerated. 3D qualities of tubes and ocassional mixes w/ sub for deep low end are evidentr in Vintage room combos
System Strengths: Very Musical...can listen for hours...balanced frequency response that verifies against other systems.... can hear nuanced changes in tweaks and other microdynamic issues.
System Weaknesses: The system has changed significantly in the last 3 years so I am still making adjustments.
Video/HT System: Integrated
TV/Projector: Toshiba LCD Flat 32", Advent 24"
Processor/Receiver/Amplifiers: use stereo
Sources (DVD/VCR): Pioneer DVD Rec/Player. Oppo 970

Comments on HT System: Decent and all I really want
