Last Update: November 22, 2006 at 02:52:59 IP Address: 83.64.14.74
Amplifier: DIY 6A3 SE driven by LC coupled D3a
Preamplifier (or None if Integrated): Phono: DIY Toccata Mk4 (by Thorsten)

PRE: DIY battery biased C3g parafeed with S&B TX102 attenuators and Lundahl 7903 as 8:1 output trannies

Speakers: AER MkI in DIY FS-Acoustas (around 100dB/W/m)

plus a DIY 18' corner horn subwoofer (110 dB), powered by a DIY 6B4G PP amp

Sources:
CD Player/DAC: heavily modified Playstation1 (looks like Fred Flintstone´s latest toy)
Turntable/Phono Stage: Platine Verdier (meets the CD-looks)

SME 3012 (silver wire, bronze bearing)

RS Labs headshell

Denon DL-103

Other Source(s): none
Other Accessories/Room/Misc.:
Speaker Cables/Interconnects: DIY 5n solid core silver wire in different gauges
Other (Power Conditioner, Racks etc.): Every unit has its own conditioner

Verdier on a sand bed

Tweaks: what?
Room Size (LxWxH): 5,5m x 4,6m x 3,5m
Room Comments/Treatments: My new listening room has midband resonances and is looking forward to get damping
Music Preferences and Comments:
Music Used (Genre/Selections): jazz, rock, classic (esp. baroque music)

EVERYTHING

System Goals/Comments: I am listening 95% to vinyl records, so the phono path is far better then the CD!
System Strengths: Dynamics and impact are really good, also PRAT is on high level. Tonality is very natural, esp. voices and non electronic instruments sound great!
System Weaknesses: At the moment the maximum volume is restricted due to room reonances

Video/HT System: None
Other Interests/Hobbies/Occupation: billards, motorbiking, cooking
